OriginalFake’s new October releases from their 2008 Autumn/Winter Collection has began to hit retailers and included in the pieces that have been released are the Room Shoes that are actually a collaboration with Cause, as well as the “X Eyes” t-shirt, and Gore Windstopper Stadium Jacket. While the Room Shoes may not be for everyone…I’m a massive massive fan, i think it may be something to do with the fact that my house is ridiculously cold at the moment and we haven’t got the heating vibes sorted out yet.

The “X Eyes” t-shirt is a signature piece from KAWS and the Gore Windstopper Jacket might be one of the hottest outerwear pieces of 2008. You can pick all three items up now at select OriginalFake retailers including L’Intrus.

Meet one of the new entry to the ACG (All Condition Gear) line from Nike. The Air Blazer ACG Mid GTX is clearly a distant offshoot of the classic Nike Blazer, with minute alterations such as thicker sole with defined treads and reinforced full grain leather uppers. However, the simple appearance hides the slew of technical elements Nike crammed into this sneaker. From Gore-Tex lamentation to lock out the rough elements, the padded ankle collar, and its Nike Considered environmentally sound construction methods. Another much anticipated Penfield collaboration has just been release in Japan over the weekend. Created through a partnership with urban apparel label XLarge’s associate in Japan, the XLarge x Penfield - Outback Down Vest offers the utmost warmth, through its 80% goose down 20% feather filing and dual layer windproof fabric. Plus, an easy to access front snap closure and 2 exterior insulated pockets. One key feature about this collection that is uniquely different is the application of plush velour outer shell instead of the common nylon fabric. Available in 3 color combinations: black/black, navy w./ contrast red interior, green w./ contrast orange interior. Now on sale at all XLarge retail locations in Japan and its online store on ZOZOTOWN shopping network.

OriginalFake has just released arguably one of the best outerwear pieces of the season with this Gore Windstopper Hunting Jacket in a simple Black colorway. According to The-Glade (Firmament), who happens to be the first retailer to release this piece, the jacket features “immaculate construction, perfect tailoring, and minimal branding”. The only OriginalFake details are the label, which features the OF worm logo, as well as the buttons which feature the OF Chompers. Beginning of August we heard about the upcoming The Hundreds, Forum and Special Blend collaboration. At the time we only knew about the Hundreds x Forum snowboards. Today we will give you a first look at the jacket and pant, that The Hundreds made in collaboration with Special Blend.

Special Blend created a co-branded jacket and pant with The Hundreds that are based off two best selling pieces, the tech light insulated Gunner Jacket and Battery Pant, both part of the men’s Cirrus Group featuring 10,000mm/10,000g waterproof/breathability. The Rosewood Jacket is available in two colorways: Black with Black JAGS and a color blocked Bright Yellow, South Beach and Magenta pop version. The Post Pant is available in two colorways: Black with Black JAGS and South Beach.

These limited edition pieces will be available this Fall 2008 only in select Forum/Special Blend and The Hundreds dealers, as well as The Hundreds two retail locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The jacket goes for 200 USD and the pants go for 180 USD

Regulating body heat is always a challenge during cold weather — it’s always too hot or too cold, especially when running around town from crowded subway to overheated office. Helly Hansen’s Odin PCM soft shell jacket solves the problem with technology that automatically adjusts according to your body heat.

Fabric called Phase Change Material uses paraffin to store and release heat when needed most. Paraffin, a hydrocarbon, is most often used in sheet rock for residential buildings because it acts as an insulator. As part of their on-going collaboration with Penfield, Wood Wood has developed an impressive leather down jacket, as part of their Autumn/Winter 2008 collection. 

The jacket has been one year in the making and when seeing the final piece now, it has been well worth it. Cow leather on the exterior, a light down filling and six external pockets, make this a great piece for the colder months. Branding as usual stays minimal, with a logo tag inside and very small logo tags on the side pocket.

Expect the Penfield + Wood Wood leather down jacket to come to stores very soon.
