For Fall 2010 expect Vans and Stussy to link up for a special collaborative women’s project. The two brands will be getting together to release the Vans saddle shoe, The Sophie. These shoes are so sweet, totally indie chic and available in two colour ways.

The shoes have some sophisticated wingtip accents on the uppers and the heels, and will be made avaialbe in a weathered brown leather, and a patent leather black. Naaaaice.

Stussy are back bringing Spring time goodness to the proverbial streetwear table again. They have dropped pictures of various tees, an oxford shirt, button-ups, hoodies and even some pretty dang nice looking jewelry.

Personally i don’t think i’m ready to start donning the male sparklies, but maybe in the future a stussy necklace (or dog tags if the testosterone is flowing) will appeal.

The Stussy Vancouver store has generated a lot of buzz and attention to itself recently, mostly due to the fact that the entire buildout of the new store has been well documented thanks largely in part to shop owner, Matt George. We’ve already shown you some of how the shop has come into fruition and now here is an updated look at the store itself as well as how it is laid out. As the Winter Season approaches more and more brands are helping consumers prepare for the cold months ahead, one of the key jackets that one can use during these months is the Varsity Jacket and this new one from Stussy is a dope one if you’re in need of a new winter coat/jacket. Along with numerous tribute in sneaker forms by both Nike and PUMA, Stussy and retailer Commonwealth created the Mexico City Olympics T-Shirt pack in honor of American sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos, on their historical silent protest on the award ceremony of the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. Shoeless, both athletes raised a fisted arm in black glove and bowed their heads as the national anthem played, to signified the racial & social inequalities within the U.S. Their controversial gestures caused their medals and expulsion from the game. However, it attracted attention to the struggle against social injustices and became a pivotal point in American history.
