After a day filled with THE most random set of events, meeting the UK distributor of Hummel and sharing in admiration of their up-coming collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 with the guys over at UNION….I came out with this pair of beautifully crafted footwear…

You know by now that slim fitting, comfy, contrast High Tops are placed in pole position when it comes to my personal selection in footwear, and these are simply perfect. Really. If you’re even in Newcastle, make sure you stop by Newcastle and just slip them onto your feet for a tester…the comfort is incredible!

Ok so enough with the drool over the soft foam interior and onto Hummel itself.

There has been a flurry of action from The Hundreds press desks this week, and tomorrow marks the release of three sneaker styles from The Hundreds Fall 2009 Footware collection which is obviously exciting times.

First up, there’s the core sneaker, the Johnson Mid-top – now in it’s fourth release. This season’s version of the mid features eye-catching perforated leather fabrication, with contrasting white & red accents for a splash of color. In addition to the mids, there’s the third installment of the Johnson Low-tops, which are back in a classic canvas fabrication, and are also available in four new tonal color combinations. Last but not least, we have three new colors of the Valenzuela Low-top, their updated interpretation of the classic skate shoe, constructed with traditional canvas, with the addition of subtle leather trim for a touch of class. All these shoes are available this thursday at the THLA and THSF stores.

I mentioned that I managed to get to the Supreme store situated in the uber-cool Minami Horie district of Osaka, and i even managed to get some snaps inside. So here they are….the inside scoop just for you. They had their budweiser collection, the Malcom Mclaren collaboration collection, and then their usual sweet range of caps, bags and accessories.

We love Supra Footwear, and they hit us up with this new drop that is hitting soon. Supra wanted to drop another shoe in the 413 series and SXSW was the perfect occasion. Partnering up with Spin Magazine and Stubb’s BBQ, Supra is proud to present the Stubb’s Skytop. The Skytop takes its name from one of the best places to eat and see live music in Austin, Texas and takes its look from their world famous barbecue sauce. To coincide with this release, they have created a special edition package that will only be sold at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q this Friday in Austin, Texas (address below).

This special edition package will include a pair of Stubb’s Skytops, a 2009 SXSW apron, a bottle of Stubb’s sauce, all inside a handmade wooden numbered box that is branded with the 2009 SXSW seal. There will be ONLY 50 boxes for sale this Friday from 10am-11am.

An international release date for the regular edition of this Skytop is set for a couple weeks, with date and store info to follow

One of my favourite shoe companies at the moment is Lakai in terms of their last few releases. They have been producing some authentic, original designs and have again come to the table this Spring with a very impressive collection. News of the moment is that there will be a Crailtap Series, as well as 10th Anniversary Editions.
