Hundreds x DeLorean

“Wait a munite, Doc. Are you telling me that you built a time machine… out of a DeLorean?!”

Immortalized by the Back to the Future film franchise, and shrouded in urban mythology, DeLorean has recently seen a resurgence in mainstream culture, from Kanye West album covers to Kobe Bryant sneaker campaigns.

The trademark gull wing doors, stainless steel exterior, and angular body have taken their place in automotive history, not only for the car’s signature design, but for the resulting controversy in founder John DeLorean’s drug trafficking charges and other legal and criminal troubles.

As a result, DeLorean Motor Co. had an abbreviated life and only one car model made it off the assembly line. Rumored to be around 9,000 total produced and even less still in existence: The DMC-12.

If you’ve been tuned into The Hundreds website, you might already be anticipating this special collection of T-shirts and baseball caps. They’ve teamed up with the DeLorean Motor Company exclusively to pay homage to an iconic automobile. Each T-shirt is a different take on DeLorean and DMC-12 from a The Hundreds perspective, mirroring various Southern California car culture tees, while still maintaining an appealing design for customer and DMC enthusiast alike.

The New Era baseball cap is also a salute to DMC’s aesthetic. The 3 Adam Bomb emblems are indicative of the 3 letters on the car’s grill, and the undervisor pattern is derived from the DMC-12’s familiar back taillights.

“Where we’re going we don’t need roads!”

But not only have they made a mass of DMC collab clothing and caps, they also collaborated to create the ultimate The Hundreds x DeLorean baby:

Two words: HOLY SMOKES.

Hundreds - Badam launch

Who’s Badam? If our buddy Adam is a relatively easy-going, nice, happy incendiary device, Badam resides all the way at the opposite end of the spectrum. Fresh from The Hundreds just like that time I was dumbfounded when I realized there was a Wario to Mario. Badam is Adam’s polar opposite.

badam

Badam always looks like he’s seen better days, thanks to his bloodshot eyes and his sour expression.

Join us as we celebrate the dark side of the force with this limited edition Badam tee and Badam New Era fitted hat release. And the whole world has to answer right now, just to tell you once again, who’s Badam…

Hundreds x Stan Sakai

Comic book creator Stan Sakai, well-known for his comic book series Usagi Yojimbo, has teamed up with The Hundreds.

rain-cape_4_cream

If you like comics, rabbits, ninjas and basically anything else that kicks ass you’ll love these tees. Both shirts feature the star of Sakai’s saga, Miyamoto Usagi, a ronin samurai rabbit, who is loosely based on Miyamoto Musashi – a famous Japanese swordsman.

The top back of each tee features the Bomb logo, Stan Sakai’s signature, and the Dark Horse Comics logo.

If you’re lucky enough to get there, Stan Sakai will be making an appearance in LA, at the flagship store from 11 am to 12pm, to sign the latest issue of his monthly comic. Also, if you’re ultra lucky and you’re one of the first 25 people to arrive, you will also receive a signed copy of the first full-color Usagi Yojimbo graphic novel, Yokai!

So, if you’re making plans for this weekend, forget it and get to The Hundreds stores and meet Stan Sakai instead!

Hundreds Sunglasses

Hundreds Sunglasses

Whether they cost you 300 pennies, from a shop you stumbled across in the depth of Stoke-On-Trent, or if they cost you 300 pounds, I believe there is no better accessory available than sunglasses.

You can wear them throughout the year for some added ‘cool’ or when you’re facing pap, the morning after the night before, when you’re suffering from a bed head and a fatal hang over. They’re your best friend to hide teary eyes if you’re getting a little too emotional. Which I should clarify, has never happened to me before…ahem. They also come in handy to protect yourself from the perve alert whilst checking ‘Miss Thang’ out on the street. If all else fails, they can protect you from UV rays, and stuff.

456_1_olive1

The Hundreds have recently released a set of sunglasses. They feature a classic acetate frame design which comes in black, blue, olive and red. With “The Hundreds” script logos printed in the corner of the right eye lense, and also on the arms. My favourite feature is on the inside of the right arm is a piece of script that says, “I would rather quit while I was ahead. There’s no need in over staying your welcome.” Safe right?

456_4_blue

It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity or not, sunglasses are the ultimate accessory. Totally acceptable to wear inside or outside. It’s obvious from this picture that The Hundreds agree and so does Lupe Fiasco.

Sharons Top 5 Shoes for now

Sharons Top 5 Shoes for now

With the new revival of the ProKeds Shotmaker, which was originally released in the 80s, like everything else that’s worth paying attention to. I’ve decided to list my top five shoes for this fall season, 80’s inspired or not.

pro-keds-shotmakers-1

ProKeds Shotmaker: feature a very ’sleak and classic appearance’ with the signature Pro-Keds detail. Found in the three different colorways. Check out this sneaker soon to be release online at Crooked Tongues Store.

toms

TOMS slip-ons: Although I don’t own a pair yet, I’m definitely going to hop aboard the TOMS ‘one for one’ shoe wagon. Their commitment to donate a pair of shoes to a child in need with every pair you purchase, one for one, make TOMS both a desirable and inspirational shoe to choose. Sold in a variety of styles and fabrics, everyone can find a pair of TOMS they fancy.

mocs-2

Mocassins: The official slipper of every young child and every OAP. I had a pink pair of Mocassin slippers when I was about 3 years old. Now I’m happy to see they’re in fashion, not only for the elderly men who wear their slippers out on the town, but in all sorts of varieties for everyone else. My favourite style is the ankle high, fringed version, like these. But you can get them in low tops, no tops, high tops, knee high boots, mens, womens, slip on, laced, fringed, un-fringed, woolen, stuffed, tassles, no-tassles, beaded and from then on the styles are just endless. They come in a variety of fabrics and shapes too, from suede to leather and flip flops to heels.

jellies

JuJu Jellies: Just like in the 80’s those jellie shoes that were always sold at the beach were hott stuff when I was about 8 years old. So I was stoked when they brought out JuJu Jellies a couple of summers ago. I bought a pair of Fergie Jellies for £8, shown above on the left. The upper is interlinking moulded fabric effect, and has a low wedge. The insock is textured and the sole is hollow which makes it light weight and flexible. They’re perfect for absolutely all occasions as no one will know they’re made of jellie, and they’re great to go out dancing in. Also as a side note, they come in handy if you don’t have a fish on you to slap some drunken pervert with.

snow-paradise

Moon Boots: Made famous by Napoleon Dynamite, oh and astronauts. I had some when I was 6 years old and wore them day-in day-out to school, so who ever says they aren’t summer shoes is mistaken! Those upper class moon-booters can get their mitts on some Adidas Snow Paradise boots, shown above, that I’m saving my pennies for. For everyone else, and the option I’ll probably have to take, they are also sold at lots of ‘high street’ outlets, such as Primark.

milk_fed_838_02

And finally…
Reebok Freestyle High Tops: The shoes I’ve been in love with since I first laid eyes on them, so much so that I bought two pairs at once. You’ll probably spot me wearing these, whether I’m popping out to pick up the post in my pyjamas, wearing them instead of slippers, if I’m out jogging or just on a day-to-day basis. A modern twist on the shoe that started it all. Reminiscent of the aerobics shoe from the 1980s, today’s Freestyle has updated styles and colours but remains the same. Always has been, always will be a ‘cool’ shoe.

And there you have it, Sharon’s Top 5 shoes for this Fall.
So fresh and so clean.

Johnny Cupcakes

Johnny Cupcakes

In my opinion Johnny Cupcakes have got it dead on. Cupcakes are a much better plan than the original concept of ‘making love not war’. Their latest line of cupcake themed tees are branded with this simple but altogether brilliant, idea towards conflict.

cakes

The tee is available in yellow or black with both tees showcasing the message in a large and clear print. With the signature Cupcake logo featured within the letter O, and again on the back of the tee.

New Era x Loweres

The Hundreds featured a sweet little blog about a set of New Era’s they found via ONSPOTZ this week. ONSPOTZ house brand Loweres have released two different coloured plaid 59Fifty Fitted New Eras.

5

Anything plaid is sure to grab my eye, but these “Learn from Yesterday” New Eras feature an motivational piece of script under the bill.

6

The script says: Learn from yesterday, love for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning.
