Vans Zapato del Barco has just dropped, and they don’t disappoint, some have said ‘the perfect kicks for spring’ and I would tend to agree. Classic red and black colorway in combination with the white rubber sole made from a lightweight canvas. Its just all so right. I would go get on these right now, i would check out your local SIZE dealer and check whether they’ve got them yet. There’s immense. Fact.

These are so freaking amazing, new Conny slip-on versions of the Jack Purcell sneakers which form the Black colorway model of the Dirty Slip-On Pack. There are also Lime Green and White in the pack which we haven’t got pics of…fail. There should be available now, so go get them hound-dog.

I want to throw out a bit of a thumbs up to Alphanumeric, big props for their Spring tees and the rest of the Spring collection. I want to highlight the tees as I love them all a heck of a lot. From the great photographic print of the ‘Root of all Evil’ tee, to my favourite ‘Weapon of Art’ tee which highlights the USA governments spending on warfare. Triumvir just updated their blog with part IV of their Civil War Collection…are there going to be any more parts the the drop? Don’t know. But they already have a substantial amount in the collection, so we’re bringing you select snaps of The Civil War Spring MMIX Collection so far. As of today, the collection includes Snapbacks, Graphic Tees, Outerwear, Denim, Shorts, its looking HOT.

ESTATE LA have been slaving away preparing their Spring/Summer ‘09 releases, and they aren’t letting much out of the bag yet. We have a few sneak peaks which they have let us in on, and so here are the images…its looking HOT…its looking Estate LA

These are OFF THE CHAIN. Vans have hit us with another huge release of this Varisty Half Cab Pro Pack. Half Cabs have been killing it since 1991, when Vans first released the sneaker as Steve Caballero’s second signature shoe. These particular Half Cabs feature premium suede and leather, along the chenille, seemingly influenced by varsity letterman jackets. Also paying dues to a true varsity, with enlarged embroidery stitching reading ‘Half Cab’ on the heel tab. Equipped with two-toned laces, these are again just going to add fire to the success of the Vans Half Cab. The College Blue colorway has already been released, and the black and red are expected soon. [complex]

We’ve shouted about them before, but not for a while. And seen as I was just told that we can get video on the blog, what better to try it out with than an interview with our favourite live remix band Keys N Krates from Toronto Canada. This different looking Zoom Macropus first debuted back in ‘04, designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker (those guys are better known as HTM the Nike design collective). All three continue to take a part in Nike’s future, they are all in much higher positions. Hiroshi is a consultant god for them, Tinkeris the design god, and Mark has taken over the company as the Nike god, or aka CEO. For the opening Nike Sportswear Tokyo, Nike added a new colourway of Macropus for opening day shoppers. Nice. Thanks to Freshness for the info…

I wrote this post because of one hoody, the LA hood that is below. It is one of the hottest designs i’ve seen in a while, i love it so much. The photorealistic imagery is massive at the moment, and I think is going to be huge for a while. The hoody’s are the creation of Upper Playground, and they have really been stepping their game up this year and these new Holiday 2008 Hoodies don’t disappoint. What is great about these new hoodies, is that they are different, and what makes them different is that each hoodie is designed by a different artist. Basically, this is the type of concept UP have been using for their t-shirts for quite awhile now. Artists that have contributed to the design of the hoodies include Usugrow, Estevan Oriol, Jeremy Fish, Morning Breath, and Sam Flores. All hoodies are available at the Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Berkeley, Sacramento, and Portland UP retail locations as well as the Upper Playground Online Store.
