I came across Camille Rose Garcia’s artwork, whilst browsing Hanna Beth’s stream. Her artwork is both beautiful and extremely unique. I’ve never seen anything like it. Her portrayal of Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, is a brilliant twist on the original Alice character and the strange and magical world of Wonderland.

A truly magnificent artist for sure, some one I’ll be telling my house mate about except I’ll have to visit the Dublin car rental and use it as an excuse to stay with her over there as the course I’m on finishes soon! Oh to lose a house mate, it’s as distressing for me as it was for that poor white rabbit to lose time!

Banksy’s been hard at work and has been appearing in San Francisco. Warholian were pretty much first up with the news and sent these pictures through to our friends at artofthestate. Since then several other pieces have appeared so keep your eyes peeled!

I saw this little gem, and mentally added it to my list of favourite paintings of people kissing. I’d like to go to the Dublin car rental, go find him and shake John McCart’s hand.

After recently working together on a special tee for the opening of the new Juice Shanghai store, CLOT once again got together with Kaws, this time for a Hong Kong tee. The tee features a Kaws signature graphic on the front and will be released soon at Juice Hong Kong. Via EDC.  via Fatseagul.

We are continuing are look thought the history books of photograph with Arnold Newman. This Guy Refined portraiture with a style that was beyond a certain aesthetic. He used composition and aesthetics that normal define photographers like tools to communicate the subject as they are.

Super8 is a poster-magazine printed in A3 format and distributed in Milan (Italy) free of charge. It is based on the number 8. It is neither sponsored nor advertised. Borne by the passion for graphics, flavored with the taste of vintage.The magazine shall be distributed for only one year, in 2009, in 8 issues. Each issue shall have two parts, one created by Marco Nicotra, the other by Giovanni Rizzo, the founders of Super8.

The theme of every issue represents one of the 8 regular words, which, in Italian, are generated by coupling a letter from the alphabet with the word “otto”, i.e. 8 in Italian: B8 (Bang), C8 (Lovesick), D8 (Learned), F8 (I fuck), L8 (I fight), M8 (Motto), R8 (Broken), S8 (Under). Currently being produced is issue 3, and we have some lovely snaps of it…..so take a goosey gander at these.

As I was browsing Art Of The State this week I saw this piece by street artist Mantis.

Several sources have reported this new piece as being by Banksy but a quick check on Mantis’s website reveal him to be behind this neat stencil in Homerton. It’s one of three new pieces from Mantis - to see more head on over to his website here.

The prolific artist HUSH has returned to put on another sure to be killer show at Urban Angel in london. For this gallery show, manga style girls feature heavily as HUSH portrays the cute innocent looking females as being sexual but innocent. Bold juxtapositions and a strong use of color and textures that give canvas work a ’street-art’ depth that is rare to see translated so well to the gallery. This is most definitely one not to miss.
