Who’s Badam? If our buddy Adam is a relatively easy-going, nice, happy incendiary device, Badam resides all the way at the opposite end of the spectrum. Fresh from The Hundreds just like that time I was dumbfounded when I realized there was a Wario to Mario. Badam is Adam’s polar opposite.

Thanks to Peter Blundy getting me hooked up with his card reader, I eventually managed to get the rest of my snaps from my America trip onto my mac. I thought I’d throw up a few blogs of a few of my favourite places…and the first place blessed enough to get a mention is Abbot Kinney Venice Beach. Massive shout out to Ryan at EstateLA who’s shopfront resides over there (although not for too much longer as he looks for a new place). It was sweet to hang out around Venice for a little while, drink some good coffee and enjoy the sun.

If you’ve been into The Candy Store, or any other Hundreds accounts around the UK, you will probably have noticed their team hats at one point or another. The Hundreds Team hat has been one of their most popular hat styles over the years, evolving into one of Hundreds signature headwear products. The sports team-inspired snap-back has been released in several styles and colors, and while the original release had “Los Angeles” embroidered across the front, this season it’s back, with “San Francisco” at the front, over “The Hundreds.” This new SF version of the classic is exclusive to the THSF store, and comes in black, and teal. This swag is available this Thursday at the THSF store.

This week, The Hundreds releases two limited edition New Era fitted hats, and two matching T-shirts. The release consists of a “RSWD” New Era & tee based on the street address of the THLA retail space, done in LA-inspired colors, and a “POST” New Era fitted and matching tee, based on the THSF location, which utilizes SF-inspired colors. The “RSWD” New Eras and tees will only be available at the THLA store, and similarly, the “POST” New Eras and tees will be exclusively available at the THSF location – both dropping on 9/3. Only 100 of each fitted hat & T-shirt will be available.

In terms of sleek, simple and effective, In4mation are amazing at their use of text catchphrases and logos. Its to the point, focus on the colors, and very effective. Lack of ingenuity could be touted, but I think it is a case of brand management knowing how to limit graphics effectively. The caps say what they are meant to say, aren’t pretentious and are true to the brand In4mation has produced.

This cap deserves a post of its own rather than being bunched into a catch up post, an incredible collaboration between 10Deep and New Era. I can hate on some of the bigger brands sometimes, as I feel that they can produce second rate product and yet still achieve ridiculous hype prices from streetwear kids. I have been dubious about a few of 10Deeps past collections, and not sure what direction they are going in, but it is evident from this cap that they can still produce immaculate product. The cap looks as though it features the 10 screen printed on the underbrim, with two location embroidary’s. It’s a thing of beauty.

So I am here to apologise for my absence for the past month, and to make things worse my mac is trying to tell me that apologise has a ‘z’ instead of an ’s’. Now that may be true, but it feels a bit too americanised for me. I’ll stick to using an ’s’ even if its wrong. Colonise and conquer.

Now there has been so much popping off over the last month, I dealt with FBN, CLS, PH, GBP and something else…..oh MOM too. Second year exams were definitely harder than 1st year, and we had all of them within 5 days which was killer. I haven’t found out my results yet, but hopefully I’ll still be allowed to carry on becoming a doctor. FBN could be dodgy, the rest should be passes.

My absence from the blog has been down to exams, and the blogs priority being pushed behind other things. Its a shame, hopefully one day we’ll have a full time person to deal with it and you won’t have to carry on listening to me witter on about random rubbish.

GOLDLBL has been launched, and there is an exciting summer planned for the biggest thing to hit the UK retail market for years. £200 tees, 22 and 24 carat gold, custom outerwear, its gonna be huge.

There’s been the 29th chapter guys in and we’ve heard some sneak peaks from their up-coming album which is gonna drop relatively soon and is sounding HOT. So be on the look out for that.

We’ve been scheming and planning with RISE, big props to the interns who have kept us moving during the last few weeks….they’re doing a sterling job. And all in all its going to be an exciting summer…

Shout out to Dark Circle and H2D crew who are now family friends. They’ve got some exciting stuff popping off and you need to be on the look out as they’re masterminding some BIG BIG things.

CJL have been working away hard with Elm Company to produce this premium looking fitted cap which is looking so hot. According to CJL “3 months ago, we approached Elm Company for a special collaborative project. After tons of trial and error, CJL and Elm have completed a well executed hat project. We present to you the CJL by Elm fitted cap.” The detailing is looking super fresh, pay special attention to the stitching, taping and nice satin lined inside.

It looks as if Estate LA are going to be dropping the second edition of their infamous J3 fitted baseball cap soon. Keep a look out on their website if you’re after one.
